Vietnam's Ministry of Construction has agreed with Cong Thanh Group's proposal to invest in a second grinding unit in Thanh Hoa province. Long Thanh Cement receives approval for capacity upgrade

The Vietnamese Ministry of Construction has approved Long Thanh Cement JSC’s plans to raise the capacity at its facility in Tan Tao, Ha Nam, from 0.91Mta to 2.3Mta. The Ministry also permitted the company to change the name of the unit to Long Thanh cement plant, according to Viet Nam News. The plant was constructed at an initial investment of VND1.3trn (US$56.52m) has a clinker capacity of 2500tpd.

Vietnam: 9M16 cement sales reach 55.25Mt

According to the Ministry of Construction, Vietnam's cement sales reached 55.25Mt for the period January-September 2016. No YoY comparative figures were given. Vietnam is estimated to have produced 50.6Mt of cement in the first eight months of 2016, a 15.2 per cent increase from the same period last year, according the the government-run General Statistics Office. Vietnam Ministry requests review of cement projects

Twelve cities and provinces have been asked by the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction to review cement plants in the localities under the industry’s master plan until 2020 with a vision to 2030. The request will involve the authorities of Hanoi, Haiphong, Hoa Binh, Bac Can, Ha Giang, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Thua Thien-Hu provinces.
